Made a prompt return to the area I found a silver Sixpence a couple of days ago. This time with the large coil fitted on my Velox One. Kept to the same area and managed to winkle out a few more coins. I was mainly after more silver and I wasn't disappointed as I did dig another silver sixpence dated 1942. It wasn't very far from the last sixpence I found and only 2-3 inches deep.
Had a good three hours there and managed some more decimal, the sixpence, what looks like a junk ring and a tiny lead horse. The whole area sort of came alive again with the bigger coil fitted, trash signals everywhere and God knows how many more bullet shells I dug.
