  1. Love the picture Janner :D

Cant help thinking your leaving yourself wide open though. No doubt a certain blogger will pick up on this and the fact that your suggesting metal detecting on a piece of land you didnt get permission for! Shame on you..
How dare you have a sense of humour!

    1. Ah but Jordan, I did have permission. The team are clapping because I just done a demonstration on how to remove a find and leave the turf looking like it had not been disturbed, Bet you can't see the hole I dug.

Oh, by the way, Rooney said that if he does not perform well tonight in the game he is going to pack up football and go metal detecting instead.

  2. lol Funny thing is I've just spent 5 mins trying to find a hole in the pitch :D

Looks like Rooney could be taking a trip to his local metal detecting shop then....I hope I'm wrong, I really do, I cant see anything other than an Italian win....Although I couldnt see Holland beating Spain so it shows how much I know about football !

  3. I can't say I'm a big football fan myself, but when the Euros and the World Cup are on I just love it. Its all the coming together, uniting of the nation to cheer on the team. Forgetting about past experiences and thinking this is the one where we are going all the way to the final.
Our street gets decked out in flags and banners, cars have flags on them, people of all ages walking around in England shirts, I dunno, its just a sense of pride and for those few days England are playing you can forget about all the evils of the world and just lose yourself in it.

As for the result tonight I'm predicting 2-0 to England,,,,ok, maybe wishful thinking,,,, you never know, its all on the day and anything can happen.

  4. England 1 - Italy 2.
I was disappointed with the result, but was not disappointed with the England team. I thought England played great. They looked exciting and was prepared to have a go which I have not seen in an England team in a very long time. Roll on Thursday, better things to come I'm sure.

  5. I think England looked ok going forward, the defence is still a bit suspect imo, Never been a fan of Glenda Johnson or whatever her name is? hopefully they can get some kind of decent result toight...we shall see :)

  6. Yup, Tighten up at the back and play like we did last week and I'm sure we'll get through.
I'm not predicting any result after the last time, I was miles out, you were quite close mind :)

  7. I'm kind of hoping Waynetta Rooney (I'm an expert on football) has a good game, I was going to have a bet on him scoring within the first 20 mins....but I dont want to jinx him :D

  8. Oh Well, short lived, but was fun while it lasted. Think I will stick to metal detecting as this football lark is too depressing.

  9. Too right Janner, I honestly dont know why I bother watching England, once again we are relying on other clubs to help us through...its an all to familiar story.

  10. Too right Jordan, sooooo frustrating. Anyway, that's sorted now after today's Italy match, we're on our way home. First time ever we've not made the next round in a World Cup. Should have left a couple of these so called top players out and put in some new up and coming fresh blood. This last game coming up on Tuesday is a good chance to show what some fresh blood will do. Leave Rooney and Gerald on the bench and play some new talent who will have the hunger and want to prove what they can do....Roll on 2018 and the next world cup...Oh, I can get my free bus pass then too :)

  11. Free bus pass? You thinking of going to Russia on it? Now that would be a bus ride to tell the kids about. :D
